From the ground up.

Your building and its foundation belong in the same conversation. We help coordinate your concrete needs with your building plan and location.

Talk about my slab

THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR PROJECT

Planned for your
building. And your site.

A slab is more than a place to park. Dimensions, drainage, reinforcement, and anchoring all need to work with the building you order.

01

Start with the approved footprint

Confirm the building size, door locations, intended use, and manufacturer foundation requirements before concrete is scheduled.

02

Put the scope in writing

Your concrete quote should identify the provider, slab and footer details, reinforcement, site work, access needs, and what is included in the price.

03

Coordinate the handoff

The slab must meet the approved requirements before building installation. Permits, inspections, site access, and curing all affect the schedule.

FROM PREPARATION TO POUR

Every step matters.

Project specifications come from your accepted concrete scope, manufacturer requirements, and applicable local approvals.

Prepare & reinforce for a metal building foundation
01

Prepare & reinforce

A prepared base, accurate forms, and the reinforcement specified for your project set the stage for the pour.

Place & finish for a metal building foundation
02

Place & finish

The concrete provider places and finishes the slab to the agreed scope, with access and equipment planned before the crew arrives.

Cure & get ready for a metal building foundation
03

Cure & get ready

Confirm curing and any required inspections with the concrete provider and manufacturer before installing the building.

PLAN BEFORE THE POUR

Let’s cover
the details.

Is concrete included with my building?

Ask for a separate written concrete scope. Do not assume concrete, dirt work, grading, drainage, fill, or equipment is included in a building price.

How thick will my slab be?

The correct thickness, concrete strength, footing dimensions, and reinforcement depend on the accepted foundation plan, site, building, and local requirements. Confirm these details before pouring.

What do I need ready?

Discuss the site layout, permits, utility locating, access, grading, and compaction with the responsible providers. Your installation location needs to be ready before scheduling can be finalized.

When can the building go up?

The concrete provider and building manufacturer must confirm readiness, including curing and inspections. For permitted TOL installations on concrete, the supplier requires county pad-inspection approval before scheduling.
